Sun Cake 太阳饼

 

 

We got a box of yummy 太阳饼 from Taiwan.

Sun cakes consist of alternating layers of paper-thin phyllo dough interspersed with maltose filling that is neither too sweet nor greasy.









I find that 太阳饼 is similar to 老婆饼. 
太阳饼 is a soft cake with a malty and milky filling, inside a flaky puff pastry.

Although it’s not super delicious, somehow it makes me crave for more that I wanna eat them all, but then gotta control cos it’s fattening.
