Entering contests has become one of our favorite hobbies, many are genuine people who give out prizes sincerely and of course there will be scammers. 

Today I am going to write about the unprofessional and ridiculous service rendered by Stamford Discovery Cruise Center.  

On 18 Oct 2018 night, my sister in law received a private message saying that she won a cruise package and she was really happy.  

On 19 Oct 2018, my sister in law purposely took time off from work, rushed down to their office inside CBD area but the staff refused to give her the prize saying that she has to honor the contest of bringing her grandma with her to the cruise.  What is there to honor when this clause is not stated in the contest post.  

Is it very usual for facebook contests questions to be who do you want to bring with you to travel, staycation, dine, share the products and etc.  And if it is a compulsory to be the tagged person, they are all stated black and white clearly in the contest Terms & Conditions.  

Stamford Discovery Cruise Center did not at all mentioned it in the Terms & Conditions on both the facebook contest post and redemption letter.

Today is the 19 Oct 2019.  Deadline stated is 23 Oct 2019.  You think my sister in law has only 1 grandma.  Is the staff cursing her other grandmas to fall sick or saying they are dead?

Its real disgusted that Stamford Discovery Cruise Center handled a simple giveaway in such an unprofessional, incompetent and incapable way, where so many other travel agencies have already done a good job.

My sister in law is truly very offended and extremely unhappy but she is not desperate for the cruise, and the staff's barbaric uncivilized bad attitude and behavior really pissed her off so she left 

A few minutes after she left their office on 19 Oct 2018, she text Stamford Discovery Cruise saying that she will be there on 23 Oct 2018 to book it with her grandma, but got a reply that another winner was picked.  First the staff imposed a hidden clause and now did not honor the dateline of 23 Oct 2018.  She flipped her words like roti prata. 

Pls note that Stamford Discovery Cruise Center has no respect on your privacy, they will post your name in their social media.  And also why does my sister in law has to make trip down to book it where it can be done over the phone or email.  Its stated must present original letter and bring passports to their office to claim the prize.  Guess, this is an excellent way to get hold of people's particulars / details to sell or give out the information to outsiders, that is how we get the scamming phone calls, email and etc.

The staff has the worst attitude, worst behavior, worst customer service ever, totally unacceptable.  Please do not support or purchase any travel packages from Stamford Travel.  They are absolutely dishonest, unreliable and not trustworthy.

Entering contest is meeting new people. Some are very nice people, some are terrible people.  And I really hate people that want to do giveaway, but so reluctant to give as if they are the boss or maybe slept with the boss.  Find it weird. Why so stingy about loosing the money on giving away the prize and purposely impose hidden clauses.  This is the 3rd time that we met with this type of ridiculous, evil, cold blooded bastard, no manners at all.  Its either they want to sell the unclaimed prize or they want to give it to their own family.  Who knows?

I wrote in to them on the 15 May and as usual they take a very long time to inform the collection details.  They make us wait for so long and then giving us only 3 days to collect.   29 May 2018 is Vesak day, a public holiday which they are not opened.

Giving 3 days to collect is a super short time.  This kind of working method and mentality is totally unacceptable.  They think everybody is so free like them, sitting in the office and got nothing to do. This is what I saw when I walked into their big office place, spacious with table neatly placed and the staff are relaxing doing their own things.  Probably they are scared that I see, that's why the lady at the front desk chased me out. 

United Italian Trading Corporation (PTE) LTD and Fung & Goh Pharmaceutical Products Pte. Ltd are sister companies. Fung & Goh Pharmaceutical works on Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm so why United Italian Trading Corporation is closed on Saturday. Since they are sister companies, they should follow, all their staff must work on Saturday too.

I press the door bell, waited for so long and nobody open the door for me. Their next door, sister company opened the door and told me to go inside to Remescar office so I walked in and the very rude lady chased me out.
First they don't open the door, and so they expect me to sit down outside to wait and praying for someone inside to walk out soon is it.  

Remescar and Dermal Therapy are from the same company.   The staff  are super unfriendly, rude and have no manners at all.  The 2nd time that I came, the lady was ok, 1st and 3rd time, they are really rude.  

Why employ this kind of marketing people, wonder what kind of school they graduated from, teaching them to be stingy with postage fee and must cause inconvenience to other people. Giving people things must give sincerely, why cause misery to our lives.  Hope you get retribution for doing harm to others.

Today I came all the way to their office, as usual just to collect the small and light products.  I noticed the marketing people are super stingy, just cos they want to save 60 cents stamp fee, they make everyone waste their leave, time, transport money to travel so far to collect it during our working hours. 

Some companies and people are so ridiculous, got money to giveaway but no money to pay for postage.  If you can't even afford the small postage fee, must as well close down, declare bankrupt.  

Also, if you want people, like your customers, winners and etc to visit your office, shift your office to Town like Orchard, Chinatown or Shenton Way, it will be so much convenient than this cheap rental office that is so far and inconvenient to access.

The management should seriously look into what their staff are doing.  If you want consumers to support your products, first you have to be sincere, nice and treat us well.  Otherwise why should we buy your products when there are so many other better brands out there for us to choose from.

The office staff are nice, always make arrangement for winners to collect the prizes at their retail shops.  Love their understanding and kind service of not causing us great inconvenience to travel to their inconvenient location office in Luxasia Building.  So unlike their next door office Kinohimitsu who has so many shops all over Singapore and in town area which they can easily arrange for us to collect our prizes conveniently, but they insist that all winners have to travel all the way to their inconvenient located office just to collect some cheap products during our working hours that cannot even cover the cost of our taxi fare, leave and time. Some people are nice, some people are ridiculous,  pray everyday for them to get retribution for making other people's live miserable.

Hyphens is one the most cheapskate companies, giving away expiring products and deliberately making it so troublesome when authorizing someone to collect on behalf of the winners.

Fuji Xerox Tower is already not very convenient to go, but at least its much convenient than to go to the super inconvenient location 138 Joo Seng Road. 

Giving away some cheapskate products that are expiring and low priced. These 2 products cannot even cover the leave, time, transport fee to go all the way so far there.   Some more the employees got a super long 2 hours lunch time.

If they want people to go to their office, shift to Orchard or Chinatown area where it will be so much convenient for everybody, instead of the cheap rental office that is so far away and not convenient to access. 

What a shame that they cannot even afford postage fee of 90 cents, but instead causing us great inconvenience to purposely make a trip up there in the stormy rainy days. Just cos they want to save postage, they endanger our lives, nowadays, there are so many road accidents that took lives in the rainy season. 

Pls do not treat us like beggars, want to do giveaway, give new products, do not give expiring products, keep the expiring products for yourself and your baby use. And also pls state the prices + expiry dates of the products and the collection location when hosting the giveaway, so that we can decide if its worth to enter. 

Probably this is their way to cheat people to enter their contests so that they can get rid of their old leftover stock that nobody wants to buy. It is definitely not nice to use expiring stock as prizes, treating us like rubbish dump. 

I don't see any sincerity in them, the only reason for doing this giveaway is to clear their old stock. I really hate people that are so selfish, inconsiderate, unreasonable and purposely want to make other people lives miserable. If they require us to fill up a form, just email the form over, we can print out, sign it, scan it and email it back. After they received it, they can proceed with the mailing, but they decide to do it the most ignorant way. 

Obviously in general, many are heartless people that do not spare a thought for others, they are hell of stingy and don't use much of their brains, only want to make lives difficult for other people in their procedure of printing and authorizing here and there to collect some cheapo prizes, and to waste our time to travel to and fro so far up to the ulu location to collect the small expiring products. Want to do giveaway, include postage, its not so expensive isn't it. 

This kind of company is not even worth my support, will never purchase any of their products. Some people are damn ridiculous, only think about themselves, cheap delivery services are available everywhere, like Qxpress courier service $4.80, Singpost normal mail 90 cents, Smartpac $3.20, Park N Parcel $3.  So cheap also cannot afford, what a hahaha. Real disgusting and annoying.  Who wants to use expiring things, waste our leave, time & money to collect these useless products.

Pope Jai Thai - Thai Tea Tower Special Set

We have never heard or been to Pope Jai Thai at Scape before, today was the first.   

Both of us got a Thai Tea Tower Special Set, so we came down today to redeem one first.  Need to show the email to the cashier lady.  After signing on the redemption list, she kept insisting that I must order food,  but I didn't want to, she showed a real black face.  She is obviously super unhappy to give me the free set when I didn't order anything, so she read the list which I signed, to confirm the T&Cs line by line with her finger to see if its stated that I can get it free without ordering any food.  It didn't state, so she allowed me to claim the set for free.  She has a super cold and bad attitude that makes me feel real uncomfortable.  Not friendly at all, rude, no courtesy and no smile.
