I'm a big fan of Tsubaki, have always loved their shampoos and conditioners which are really effective for a soft, smooth and shining hair.

Tsubaki Hair Oil is a leave-in hair treatment in clear gold color and has a super lovely scent.  It can be used on both dry and wet hair.  I prefer to use it on my dry hair.  Each morning, I will pour out 1 time of hair oil on my palm and massage it onto my hair to tame the flyaway and moisturize the dry ends.  It's easily absorbed into the hair without leaving it oily.  I love how my hair feels after applying it.  It feels so soft and smooth.

It can be used as hair mask too.  Every night before I go exercising, I will shake out generously 3 times of hair oil onto my palm and apply it evenly by spreading, rubbing and combing through with my fingers to all over my hair especially on the drier ends.  Pouring out 3 times of hair oil means a lot so it will leave my hair oily, but it's okay cos I will wash my hair when I go home.  After washing and drying my hair, my hair has gotten really soft, smooth and shining that I can't stop myself from admiring and touching it.
 

 

It comes in a lovely designed crew cap red bottle and contains 60ml of hair oil.  However I find that it can be quite difficult to pour out the oil from the hole on top.  I would prefer a pump out bottle which I can easily control of the amount of hair oil being taken out.

 

 

After applying the Tsubaki Hair Oil, my hair is instantly soft, smooth and shining.

 

 

Before - my hair is quite dry and dull but after using it for a few days my hair has gotten really soft, smooth, moisturized and shining.

Tsubaki Head Spa Extra Cleansing Shampoo

My Thoughts

The translucent gold color shampoo has a really nice strong aroma scent.  It's kind of watery, so I need to use double of the usual amount in order for it to lather to bubbles. 

I will add water to a palmful of the shampoo to wash my long hair, massage scalp and hair for a few seconds, and rinse off thoroughly with water.  Then, continue with a conditioner.

After every use, it makes my hair soft, smooth, shiny and less hair fall.  It also makes my awful frizzy "lion-king" hair tame and flat.

My Thoughts

I bought the Tsubaki Head Spa Shampoo and Conditioner set at $12.50.

The gold color silky soft conditioner has a very heavy floral scent.  It comes with a hard plastic cap and a soft bottle.

After shampoo, squeeze out a sufficient amount, apply and massage onto damp hair, especially on the dry ends.  Leave it on for a few seconds and rinse off thoroughly with water.  It makes my hair smooth and free of tangle. 
 

After drying my hair, it feels soft and smooth, with a lasting lovely fragrance.  But, it also makes my hair light and puffy, which I don't like.  I prefer my hair to be tame and flat.

This light orange, creamy and thick hair mask has a very strong floral scent.  

After shampoo, apply this mask onto my hair and spread evenly from roots to ends, especially on my dry ends.  Massage hair for a few seconds and put on a shower cap.

Wait for an hour or more, and rinse off with water.  It leaves my hair with a very nice floral fragrance.

When my hair is dried, I love my soft, smooth, shining and tame hair.

How to use : 

Use this product after shampoo.

You may replace this spa mask with your hair conditioner.

1. Brush hair thoroughly and comb out all the tangles.

2. Apply the hair treatment to your palms.

3. Massage and coat your hair thoroughly from hairline toward tip of your hair.

4. Put on a shower cap, or just use some saran wrap to cover hair for 5 minutes or so.

5. Rinse your hair thoroughly.

My Experience

This thick yellowish gold color mask has a very strong smell, like mint and flowers mixed.  After getting used to it, it actually smells nice, but a little too strong.

 

It comes with an inconvenient screw cap.

I mask my hair once a week after using Tsubaki Head Spa Shampoo. 

After shampoo, squeeze the excess water off my hair.  Squeeze out a handful of mask onto palm, spread thoroughly throughout and massage from scalp to hair, particularly on the ends.  I usually massage longer on the ends to prevent dryness and spilt ends.

I use a shower cap to cover my hair for at least 1/2 to 1 hour.  I am the “kia su” type, want my hair to absorb the nutrient thoroughly.  Thinking the longer I mask, my hair will be more beautiful.  Normally after 1 hour or more, then I will rinse off with water. 

After, my hair is extremely tame and flat.  I can see and feel my hair texture improved.  It is soft, smooth and shining.

The strong smell of mint will stay on my hair for at least a day.

The next few days when I wash my hair with other brand shampoo and conditioner, the tame and flat hair from this mask will remain on my hair.  This feeling will last for the next 3 to 4 days.

For best results :

A single pump's worth on wet hair should be enough lather for most.  Squeeze shampoo and spread on palms by rubbing hands together, and then work into wet hair thoroughly.  Massage well and rinse with warm (not hot) water.  Follow with Tsubaki Conditioner and use the Treatment Pack once or twice a month.

My Experience

The shampoo bottle comes in dark red color and the conditioner comes in orangey red color. 

This white color shampoo has a very sweet floral scent, very soothing to my nose.  It is kind of diluted but lathers well.  2 pumps are enough for my long hair. 

Wet hair, apply shampoo on top of my head.  Add water to the shampoo to lather.  It lathers up easily with rich bubbles.  Massage thoroughly from scalp to hair ends for 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse off with water. 

Apply conditioner, spread evenly throughout hair, massage from scalp to hair ends and let it stay on for a few minutes, then rinse off with water. 

For a better result, it is best to use this shampoo with Tsubaki Shining Conditioner with Tsubaki Oil. 

After drying, my hair looks and feels so soft, smooth and shining.  They work great on my Shiseido cream rebonded straight hair.

This shampoo and conditioner will not make frizzy and natural curly hair to become soft, smooth, shining and flat like rebonded hair.   The hair will still be frizzy, curly and rough like “wire”.    

Therefore, the best way for frizzy, natural curly, coarse and thick hair to become soft, smooth, shining and flat is to do a Shiseido cream hair rebonding.  And use this shampoo and conditioner to maintain it.
